When my little Ellie was born in 2011, it didn’t take me long to discover that she was happiest when she was snuggled up on me with her head against my chest so she could listen to my heartbeat. Since I spent a lot of late nights up working, the easiest way for me to remain productive while still caring for her was to use a wrap and snuggle her up to me. Little did I know that this would become her favorite thing to do for months to come.
Ellie is the first baby that I had ever used a baby carrier or wrap with and I’ll admit, I was extremely nervous at first. I read multiple articles online, read reviews on different products. Did I want a wrap? Would a ring sling work for us? What about a baby carrier? Will a Mei Tai provide enough support? These are all questions that went through my head. In my research I learned that Boba is the only brand that sells inward facing only carriers.

After extensive research and a lot of YouTube videos later, I decided a wrap was best for us. Since Ellie wanted to be close to me, using a carrier that allowed her to face inward and keep her near my heart where she could listen to a familiar sound.
I have since learned that by wearing Ellie facing inward is best for both the psychological and physical health of my little one. Also, by carrying baby facing inward, you are helping baby form a healthy attachment while also preventing hip dysplasia. Discovering all of this made me happy that I had made the decision that I did.
Of course, from the pictures, you will see that I am not the only one who supports babywearing in our family, Alex is all for keeping his babies close to him too!
