My First #JBFMilwaukee Experience & Why You Need to Go (Sept 21st-27th)

*This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Just Between Friends of Milwaukee.  This program is in partnership with Real Mom Media.  All opinions are my own*

Yesterday morning, Libby and I made our way down to Milwaukee for the Just Between Friends consignment sale. This was a first for both of us and I think we are both still in shock over the size of this sale.

 #JBFMilwaukee Fall 2014 Overview

The amount of clothing, alone, is overwhelming.  Racks and racks of maternity, costumes, girls and boys clothing and all of the sizes, it is absolutely crazy and EXTREMELY well organized.

There were more than enough toys to go around and of course, toys were organized in different sections for babies, girls, boys, Disney, Action Figures and so much more!

There was a sea of strollers, high chairs, boosters, bouncy seats and more.  Really, I don’t think there is anything you couldn’t find on your shopping list while sticking to your budget.

Check out this great video, put together by Maureen from Wisconsin Mommy to give you an idea of everything available.

My goal was to make sure that I got the #BestDeal on some winter gear for the little ones.  All 3 littles needed new boots, Joey needed a jacket that would fit now and another to get him through the rest of winter, along with snowpants as well as a few more fleece sleepers.

Here are a few things we picked up:  a pirate costume for Joey ($5), 3 fleece Carters sleepers ($5), a Big Chill winter jacket ($8) and Columbia boys snow boots that retail between $59.99-$69.99 for $15!!!!

I am still in awe of how big this sale is and if I had been feeling better, I think I could have spent the entire day shopping to make sure the kids were set for the next year!

Sesame Street Live: Make A New Friend Nov. 15-17th 2013

**This post and giveaway is made possible by Vee Corporation.  I received a promotional item in exchange for this post.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.  This post may contain affiliate links.**

Last November, Alex and I had the opportunity to take Alexander and Ellie to see Sesame Street Live:  Can’t Stop Singing at the Brown County Veteran’s Memorial  Arena.  Of course, Ellie was just shy of 11 months old at the time, so she didn’t really get it but Alexander had an absolute blast.

Now that Ellie has discovered Sesame Street and has fallen for Elmo, Abby Cadabby and the rest of the gang, we are excited that we will be returning to the arena this November to see Sesame Street Live:  Make A New Friend.

No matter where you’re from or where you’ve been, everyone is special – so join in! Elmo, Grover, Abby Cadabby, and their Sesame Street friends welcome Chamki, Grover’s friend from India, to Sesame Street. Together, they explore the universal fun of friendship and celebrate cultural similarities, from singing and dancing, to sharing cookies! Join the fun and make a memory with your friends and family!
Sesame Street Live:  Make A New Friend will be at the Brown County Veteran’s Memorial November 15th-17 for 6 shows.

You can catch a performance on one of the following days:

Friday, November 15th: 7pm
Saturday, November 16th: 10:30am, 2pm & 5:30pm
Sunday, November 17th: 1pm & 4:30pm

The Great Bunny Train 2013

**This post is made possible thanks to our friends at the National Railroad Museum and US Family Guide. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

The weekend before Easter, our family was fortunate enough to attend The Great Bunny Train at the National Railroad Museum here in Green Bay. We spent 3 hours checking out the museum, participating in Easter activities, meeting the Easter Bunny and going on a train ride.

I have lived in Green Bay my entire life and I have no memories of ever actually going to the railroad museum so this wasn’t just a great experience for the kids but me too!

The kids had a great time meeting the Easter Bunny. (Minus Alexander who was scared to go near him).

The kids really enjoyed checking out the trains.

I enjoyed seeing all of the people and snapping pictures.

Ellie really enjoyed her freedom and being able to run around, play with big floor puzzles and the train tables.

Before calling it a day, we made our way out to the train depot and boarded the train where we took our seats, met our conductor and received a special golden egg with a chocolate treat inside.

The 3 older kids enjoyed sitting on the top tier of the train car while Alex, Ellie and myself remained on the lower level.

All in all everyone had a great time. Alexander is already planning on going back this summer to see Thomas the Train!

Thank you to our friends at the National Railroad Museum and US Family Guide for making this possible.

Chicago Toy & Game Fair #ChiTag

I have been trying to make it to the Chicago Toy & Game Fair for the last 3 years yet something has always gotten in the way. This year, nothing is stopping me! I am loading up the van with the family (minus Zack who will be hunting) and we are heading south to Chicago at hitting up the Chicago Toy & Game Fair the weekend of November 17-18 at Navy Pier!

I am excited to introduce the kids to all kinds of new toys, check out the giant-sized games such as Bananagrams, Perplexus, Doggie Doo (which is a HUGE hit in our house), and more. There will also be an opportunity to me the Moshi Monsters which I know Alexander will be thrilled about! Oh and I can’t forget about the free contests and game tournaments, speed stacking demos, and sooo much more!!

You can get your tickets to the Chicago Toy and Game Fair for adults $10 and Children ages 3-13 $5 children under 3 are FREE! Click here for ticket info and a $2 off coupon.

Here are some great pictures from the 2011 Chicago Toy and Game Fair!

2012 International Home & Housewares Show

As many of you know, this past weekend the Alex AKA  and I made our way down to Chicago along with Ellie to attend the 2012 International Home and Housewares Show. This was our first year attending and I can guarantee that we will definitely be going back but hope we will be able to attend all 4 days—even though I don’t think 4 days will be enough time to cover the entire show.

2.6 million square feet of space is a lot to cover!

We met some great new people, learned about some great new products and cannot wait to share everything with you!

There was just so much stuff to see.

It was also a weekend of firsts for Baby Ellie.  It was her first road trip, first time out of the state, first blog event, first trade show and first celebrity meeting.

Yes, Baby Ellie met her first celebrity.

But that is a whole other post that I promise to share with you before the end of the week!

Right now I need to get to bed because I am still recovering from attending the IAlexA show!
