Fairy Tales Reinvented with Ever After High

If there is one thing we enjoy in this house, it’s fairytales. I love the classic stories of Cinderella, Snow White, Rupunzel and more.  Ellie has become a huge fan of fairytales as well and recently she has been hooked on watching Ever After High on Netflix. It’s become a regular Saturday morning show for her now. In case, you’re like me, and new to Ever After High let me give you the scoop. Ever After High shares the tales of the daughters of your favorite fairytale princesses. The Ever After High characters are:

  • Briar Beauty™ – Daughter of Sleeping Beauty
  • Raven Queen™ – Daughter of the Evil Queen
  • Apple White™ – Daughter of Snow White
  • Blondie Lockes™ – Daughter of Goldie Locks
  • C.A. Cupid™ – Daughter of Eros
  • Cedar Wood™ – Daughter of Pinocchio
  • Prince Charming™ – Son of Prince Charming
  • Poppy O’Hair™ and Holly O’Hair™ – Twin sisters and daughters of Rapunzel
  • Lizzie Hearts™ – Daughter of the Queen of Hearts

My favorite princess has always been Snow White which is great because Ellie’s favorite Ever After High character is Apple White, daughter of Snow. You can learn all about Apple White and the rest of her friends at your one-stop Ever After High shop, Walmart.

Which Ever After High character do you want to know more about?

Affordable Phones Plans with T-Mobile at Walmart

The holidays are just around the corner and I’m sure there are plenty of other parents out there, just like me, that need to finish up their holiday shopping.

After seeing a lot of other parents post about what there kids wanted for Christmas this year, I noticed that quite a few wanted a new phone or in a lot of cases, their first phone.

I remember when we made that step with Zack and Libby and got them their first phones. Back then (almost 8 years ago) we decided to start them off with prepaid flip-phones because that was what was available and affordable.

These days, when parents are making the decision to get their children or even themselves a phone, there are so many different options available.

T-Mobile, the nation’s fastest 4G LTE Network, available at Walmart, offers the  Nokia Lumia 530 phone for only $49.88.

The Nokia Lumia 530 is a 4″ touchscreen phone that is 4G capable with a 5MP camera and a 1.2 GHz Processor. This phone is the perfect starter phone for your child and with a plan that only cost $50 a month that includes UNLIMITED talk, text and data along with music streaming without using data, your kid will be set.

Talk about a budget friendly phone plan!

There is still time to head to Walmart to grab the Nokia Lumia 530 and a phone plan and get it wrapped and ready for the holidays without breaking the bank.

Really, who doesn’t love an afforable gift and phone plan?

Splash Math Apps for Kids

This post was created in partnership with Mom Buzz Media and StudyPad Inc. All opinions expressed are my own.

Since I won an iPad back in January, my kids have been glued to it. Seriously, they are on it more than I am. So, as you can imagine, the iPad is filled with kids apps, which I don’t have a problem with because I love that my kids are learning while ‘playing’ on it.

The kids are currently enjoying their new apps from Splash Math.

Splash Math – Preschool & Kindergarten

Since Ellie is home with me all day long and not eligible to attend a traditional preschool we’ve been doing a few things at home to help ensure she is on track when she does head to class next fall.  She loves Splash Math Preschool & Kindergarten because it has lots of cool graphics, the characters are fun and they are super cute when you make them dance.

If you are looking for an app to get your younger, Pre-K  age, child started on math this is a great tool. Lots of fun things to do to learn sequences, counting and simple addition and subtraction.

Splash Math – Grades 1 to 5

Alexander is our little mathlete, just like his daddy. He loves to do math whenever and wherever he can so apps that encourage him to sharpen his skills are just what we are looking for.

Splash Math for Grades 1-5 gives him the opportunity to work at different levels and aligns great with what he is learning in school.

I never thought I would have a kid that enjoys math but I’m glad I did.  Splash Math has become one of his favorite apps and is definitely a great app to download for the kids.

Save the Sheets & Get More Sleep with Luvs

This review and giveaway was made possible by Double Duty Divas and Luvs. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine.

When you have three small children who share one room, the last thing you want is one of them to wake up in the middle of the night because their diaper leaked.

Do you know what happens when three children share one room and one of them wakes up at 3am because their diaper leaked?

I’ll tell you what happens……THEY ALL WAKE UP!

I don’t know about you, but I prefer to see this in my kid’s room at 3am.

With the holidays around the corner and a certain jolly fella scheduled to pay a visit to our house, you can bet I want everyone to be sleeping and the last thing I want to deal with is a leaky diaper and a wet bed in the middle of the night.

To ensure we have dry nights, you can bet we are relying on a brand we trust and that brand is Luvs. As you may know, Luvs brand diapers have NightLock which offers the largest absorbency area EVER and helps keep wetneess away which mean less leaks, especially during the hectic holiday season.

I perfer to make the mornings merry during the holidays and cleaning up leaky diaper messes in the middle of the night does not make for a merry mom!

With Luvs, you don’t need to worry about your little one leaking through their holiday outfit or onto the jolly fella’s red suit!

Check out this cute Will It Leak ‘Santa Suit’ video. This holiday season Luvs is turning clicks into free diapers (until 12/25) and will give a diaper to a child in need through the Children’s Miracle Network.

Show Your #PregamePride with Unilever

It’s no secret that we love football in our home. We are big supporters of the NFL, NCAA and high school leagues and of course, we have our teams.  When it comes to college football, you can bet we spend our Saturdays watching the Wisconsin Badgers take on their latest opponent.

When we get ready to watch our team, there are steps that need to be taken hours before the game starts. We take pride in our pregame prep and you should too!

It is important for you to show support for your team on game day and we are firm believers in educating our children on dressing to impress at an early age.

Get out your Badger hat, t-shirt, dress or whatever piece of Badger apparel you have.

No game day is complete without a smorgasboard of snacks, meats and other treats along with drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Of course, before all of this starts, it is important to ensure that you are clean and smell good on game day and the NCAA and Walmart, along with Axe, Dove Men+ and Degree want to make sure your pregame froming needs are taken to the next level.  Before you settle in to your normal game day ritual make sure you cleanse, protect and stlyle prior to your party.

Right now you can score a $5 Walmart gift card when you stock up on $15 of more of Unilever mens grooming products at Walmart. (This offer available on in-store purchases only and all purchases must be in one transaction).
