**I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Healthgrades. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.**
Being pregnant once again and having a high risk pregnancy this time around, I can say that I have met my fair share of doctors and specialists. Every time I have had to see someone new, I have Googled them and researched them on the internet every which way that I could. One of the most beneficial tool’s during my research was Healthgrades. I’ve used Healthgrades multiple times to look up providers for myself and for my family.
The Healthgrades Women’s Health Report 2013 can help you make a more informed decision when choosing a new healthcare provider.
As an expectant mom, I found it interesting that the report offers maternity care ratings based on the analysis and equal weighting of the following 4 factors.
**Maternal complication rate among women undergoing vaginal deliveries
**Maternal complication rate among women undergoing cesarean-sections (C-sections)
**Number of newbornsadjusted for the percentage that were low birth weight
**Newborn risk-adjusted mortality
Prior to reading this report, these are things that I would not have thought to look into but I will be now!
I have neglected my own healthcare over the past few years and put my family before me and this is something I definitely plan on changing in the next year and I feel more confident about doing so and making these kinds of decisions. I love that Healthgrades lets me learn more about a provide before I commit to seeing them because I am definitely one of those moms who needs to ‘know before I go’ and I like to be prepared at all times for all things.
If you are a woman who wants to make a commitment to yourself and your health, I encourage you to check out the Healthgrades Women’s Health Report.
