Poor Little Sick Girl

My little Ellie is sick along with myself, Alexander, and Alex.
Her poor little nose is running nonstop, she is crabby (which is soooo not her style), and she is lethargic.

I wish I could make her better in an instant.

I’ve been nursing her on command to both nourish and comfort her, using chest rubs, saline drops, and we are all keeping ourselves armed with Boogie Wipes, and there is also the electric nasal aspiratior that has been a godsend (but not fun to clean).

Although I hate seeing her so miserable, it has been a blessing in disguise because all she wants to do is snuggle and this mommy loves to snuggle my kidlets, even if it means I will end up covered in snot and tears, I will take it!

This is what the last 24 hours have looked like.

So again, if you are wondering where I am and what I have been up to, this is it.

I am hoping to get some work done tonight and tomorrow and get completely caught up over the weekend!

**Fingers Crossed**

Sick.

The kids went back to school last Tuesday.
On Friday, Libby was sent home with a fever and sore throat.
A few hours later and a trip to the doctor we had a strept throat diagnosis.
After a weekend of keeping her away from the rest of the family, antibiotics, and lots of fluids she returned to school yesterday.
Yesterday, Ellie woke up with a horrible head cold and I sent the day wiping her little nose, cleaning up snot puddles, and disinfecting the house.
By about 4 p.m., I was infected too.
Now here we are on Tuesday and myself, Ellie, Alex, and Alexander are all fighting this awful head cold, exhaustion, watery eyes (me), and a fever (Alexander).
I’m only writing this post because I’m trying to stay awake and care for the little ones while the Alex sleeps.
Thankfully I can blog from my phone.
Fingers crossed we all start to feel better soon!!!

Settling In

Since we moved into our new home at the beginning of this month, we have been busy settling in.
I know I haven’t been here as much and that is mainly because we are working so hard to get unpacked before school starts next Tuesday.
Not only do we need to get unpacked, we also need to get our garage cleared out and ready to store our new kitchen cabinetry when it arrives until we get the demo done and are ready to install.
I have to admit, moving 5 years ago with 2 less people was A LOT easier.
Moving 6 people, unpacking them, and getting them all settled is exhausting.
Having an infant in that mix who is still nursing, rarely naps, and just learned how to crawl also tends to slow things down.
So, I apologize for the lack of updates and hope you will continue to stop by and read my reviews, enter my giveaways, leave comments on the cute and awesome pictures I post of my kids, and just leave a message every now and then.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that next week when the kids (3 of them!!!!) head off to school, I will be able to have more time to blog while enjoying some 1 on 1 time with little Ellie.
Until then…..please bear with me.

The Lorax Now on Blu-ray Combo Pack & DVD {Review}

In March, Alex, Alexander, Ellie, and I spent one Friday afternoon in a movie theater filled with other parents and kids, eating popcorn and sipping sodas. Our reason for being there….to see Dr. Suess’ The Lorax on the big screen.
This movie was a hit with the 3 of us that day in the theater and now we are able to share it with the rest of the family!  After our recent move into our new home, we curled up as a family and spent the evening watching The Lorax on Blu-ray.

Everyone loved it.

Ellie was in an trance watching it this time around. (She was just over 3 months the first time so she slept through most of it).  All of the bright colors captivated her and she couldn’t take her eyes off the tv.

Not only did we love this movie, it really taught our little Alexander all about the environment and recycling!

The DR. SEUSS’ THE LORAX Blu-ray™ 3D Combo Pack also includes three brand new mini-movies including:
Serenade – Two Bar-ba-loots — one love shy and the other suave and confident — battle for the heart of their would-be sweetheart with the help of a colorful cast of characters, including the Humming-Fish and Swomme-Swans.
Wagon-Ho – Two Bar-ba-loots take The Once-ler’s wagon on a ride they won’t soon forget.
Forces of Nature – Determined to scare The Once-ler out of Truffula Valley, The Lorax decides to create the illusion of ominous forces of nature.

You can catch a sneak peek of the movie and the mini-movies below!
