Even though it is January, there are still holiday gatherings happening.  We have a few friends who don’t have a chance to celebrate until late January because of their crazy schedules.

For our family, December is crazy busy with birthdays and multiple Christmas celebrations.  No matter how early I try to get the holiday shopping done, I always find myself in need of last minute items.  Regardless of who I am shopping for, I know that I can rely on Target to have the perfect gift for everyone on my list.

Right before Santa arrived, we found ourselves in need of a few more items for the littles. Since Target is our go to store and is close to our house, we decided to check out their Kid’s Toy Guide to find the perfect gifts for the kids.  Be sure to check out the great deals on Kid’s toys only @Target and take advantage of some awesome clearance prices right now and stock up on so you have some last minute gifts on hand!

Another thing that makes Target great when coming up with last minute gift ideas is the ability to give a digital giftcard.

Even though it’s January, my neice is celebrating a birthday this week.  What better way to send a gift then to send a giftcard that she can access immediately?

Put Together a Great Bridal Shower Gift at Target

I am a fan of weddings.

I love everything from the planning, to the shopping, the prepping, the parties….oh the parties.  I love me a good Bridal Shower.

Since we were in the process of moving while planning our wedding and getting everything together so quickly, I chose to forgo my own.  Planning bridal showers is fun and it is even more fun to shop for a special gift for the newlyweds.

It has been awhile since I attended a shower, but I do recall the last one was a childhood friend’s.  Her and her fiance were in the same position as Alex and I. They had met after having been in previous relationships, there were already kids involved and they were essentially combining two well established households into one.

When shopping for a gift for a couple who is already living together, has a family or is not in need of much, I like to put together a few of my favorite household items, things I use on a regular basis.  In addition to a gift for the couple, if there are kids involved, I like to include them in the gift as well!

We actually have a wedding we were invited to attend this month, and I put together the following as a great little gift for the entire family.

*A set of melamine mixing bowls, fall themed towel & pot holders and 2 fall themed plates for the kiddos.

Basically, when I am shopping for a gift, I think of something that I would like to receive as a gift. Classic wedding gifts are china, stemware, silver etc. For me, the reality is to give a gift that will serve an everyday purpose because the classic gifts tend to sit and collect dust.

Does the couple in question like beer or wine? Gift a fabulous set of glasses.

Maybe they prefer a fresh brewed cup of coffee……a Keurig Vue (my personal favorite) is a great gift as well.

Or, if all else fails and you really don’t know what to buy, you can never go wrong with a gift of…….

The Target Wedding Catalog is a great resource when shopping for the perfect shower gift or to use as inspiration when creating your Target Wedding Registry.

Target makes it easy to create your registry online or in-store and makes it available for your guests to shop online or in-store as well!

Celebrate Back to School with Yoplait Go-GURT Yogurt

*This post is brought to you by Yoplait. The information and prize pack have been provided by Yoplait through MyBlogSpark. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*

If you have a bunch of kids in your house, like I do, then I’m sure you have either heard of Go-GURT® Yogurt from Yoplait or purchased or maybe both. Go-GURT® Yogurt is an item you will find on our grocery list on a regular basis since both Alexander and Ellie enjoy them, a lot.

As a mom, I like to purchase Go-GURT® Yogurt as a dessert and snack item for the kids.  In the summer we buy them and freeze them and then the kids have fro-yo on the go.  During the school year we refrigerate and freeze; refrigerate for snack or dessert time and freeze to toss in with a cold lunch (Go-GURT® Yogurt will thaw out by lunch time).

Kids love Go-GURT® Yogurt because it’s fun to eat, and has great tasting flavors kids crave. And mom loves that Go-GURT® is now made with natural colors and flavors, and contains no high-fructose corn syrup and it’s a good source of calcium.
