Kathryn the Grape’s Colorful Adventure Review & #GIVEAWAY- Ends 10/20

In February, we had the chance to review Kathryn the Grape – Just Like Magic and we loved it. It was such an inspirational story that taught you how to believe in yourself and find the magic within yourself everyday.

On September 21st, Kathryn the Grape’s Colorful Adventure was released. Kathryn the Grape’s Colorful Adventure is a tale that helps children understand how to make their own true colors shine.

My little Libby really related to this book because she is currently that girl with 2 brothers (until her baby sister arrives this winter) who has had to find her own ways to shine within our family.  She has learned to use creativity and imagination to help her find her own place in our world and knows that she is just as special as everyone else.

Kathryn the Grape’s Colorful Adventure is another inspiration story from Kathryn Cloward and Ginny Hornby that is sure to teach others how to let their colors shine!

And now, I get to give a copy away to 1 lucky reader of The Megalomaniac Mommy!

Dream Big, Little Pig Review

As many of you know, I am a big fan of children’s books. I don’t just buy them for my kids, I pick them up for myself too. I have boxes of children’s books that I have enjoyed over the years as a child care teacher, parent, and those that I enjoyed as a kid. Not only am I a fan of children’s books but I am an even bigger fan of children’s books that send a message and Dream Big Little Pig by Kristi Yamaguchi does just that.  (Did I mention yet that since I was a kid I have always been a HUGE fan of Kristi Yamaguchi?? Yeah, it’s true! I even got to see her skate in Green Bay twice!!)

How great is it to instill in your child that they can dream big and aspire to be anything they want. My Zack wants to be a professional baseball and football player, wrestler and chef and I would never do anything to get in his way to achieve his dreams. The Libby, well she wants to be a little bit of everything but tends to give up when things get difficult. This book, Dream Big Little Pig, makes me think of her. She is a lot like Poppy the Pig in the story yet she is still struggling to find her niche.

This book is such an inspirational tale to share with children and definitely follows Kristi Yamaguchi’s personal motto “Always Dream”.  Not only is it a beautiful story but the illustrations are gorgeous as well.

Kristi Yamaguchi founded the Always Dream Foundation to inspire children to reach for the stars. Through Poppy, she hopes to reach kids directly, helping to pass along the message of hope that you are only limited by how big you can dream!

Dream Big, Little Pig! is available wherever books are sold.
