My Royal Wedding Recap

So, I along with millions of others around the world, stayed up for many, many hours Thursday night and into Friday morning to watch the big royal wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William.

I began prepping by taking a nap with Alexander earlier in the day, eating an energizing meal (aka awesome cheeseburgers made by the @HardworkinHubby) and a 4 pack of SBUX Frappuccino’s (which I then regretted drinking for the next 12 hours as I ran to the bathroom to pee every 5 damn minutes!).

I curled up on the love seat in our living room and thanks to an invitation from the beautiful @BarefootFoodie, I joined in their #WAKSlumberParty (you know, William And Kate Slumber Party) on Twitter and tweeted away about all things Kate, William, Diana, Charles…..basically all things royal.

I even made some new friends.

And then the guests began to arrive.
And there were hats….
Lots and lots and lots of hats.
Big Hats.
Small Hats.
Red Hats.
Yellow Hats.
Even…..vagina hats!

Yes. Vagina hats.

Princess Eugenie of York also donned a vagina hat, however hers was in dire need of a trim!
Princess Beatrice of York looked like she was straight off the train from Whoville with her crazy head piece.

Then there was Posh and Becks, who of course always look amazing.
I was a little worried though that Posh would poke someone’s eye out with her hat but I haven’t read about any such tragedies.

Of course, Queen Elizabeth II….looked stunning as usual!

Moving on to the Bride and Groom.
William was as handsome as ever but Kate…..Kate was breathtaking.

The wedding was beautiful.
Every part of it.
Even Charles and his royal combover and ginormous ears.

The kiss….was perfect!

Overall, I felt that is was definitely worth losing sleep. I enjoyed every minute of the whole thing, loved chatting about it with others on Twitter, and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED having Piers Morgan and the commentator on CNN. He was great and wasn’t afraid to dish out the details on certain members of the Royal Family.

The only thing missing from the whole celebration……

She would have loved it and her hat would have been fabulous!
