Heart of Haiti

By: Anne Youngercomment

Last year, the people of Haiti suffered a devastating earthquake that has made it next to impossible for Haitians to make a living.

Heart of Haiti is an initiative that offers sustainable income to Haitians that will enable them to repair homes, pay school fees, and feed and clothe their families.

Haitian artisans are working hard to create beautiful pieces of art from raw materials like recycled oil drums, wrought iron and stone. These pieces of art are being sold in the Heart of Haiti Shop For A Better World through Macy’s.

Pieces such as this Heart of Haiti Fire Bird Bowl crafted from steel cut from recycled drums.

Or this beautiful Heart of Haiti Large Feast of the Sea Tray that is hand painted with bold patterns.

You can learn more about the Heart of Haiti Project and view the beautilful items available for purchase by visiting the Heart of Haiti at Macy’s.com

Disclosure: I was selected for this very special “CleverHaiti” opportunity by Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity. All opinions are my own.
