AllBarStools.com

I’ve recently been on the hunt for some nice extra tall bar stools to put by our kitchen counter/breakfast bar. So far, we’ve gone thru 2 cheap sets from some big chain stores and a wood set as well. Not being able to find a set locally, I have turned to the Internet, which has led me to AllBarStools.com.

After perusing the site for over an hour and looking through the large variety of stools they offer, I stumbled upon this:

Cute, no?
The great thing is the colors in the seat fabric match the colors of my kitchen perfectly!
I haven’t decided to order them just yet…..I’m secretly hoping the Alex will pick them up for me for Christmas.
Until then, I’m off to find some new kitchen chairs as well so I finally have a matching set!

My Must Haves for the Holiday Season

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 Imports. All opinions are 100% mine.

Every year, there are a few things that I add to my ‘Must Have’ list.  Now, I’m not always lucky enough to get them, but a girl can dream can’t she?

I also plan on doing some holiday entertaining in the near future!

Now, I’ve always been a fan of Pier 1 and the great decor they offer.  This year, I’ve picked the following items to add to my ‘Must Have’ list.

I love, love, love reed diffusers and Pure 1 had some great scents like Apple Cinnamon.

If I were going to finally throw the ultimate holiday party, it would require my owning the Snowball Dinnerware set complete with service for 12 along with the Swirl Glassware, Candy Cane Card holders and honestly, everything else with the Candy Cane design!

The above mentions of items I would like would be great for both my mother and husband to add to their shopping lists…..hint….hint!

Also, did you know during the months of November and December, you can support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy and/or making a cash donation at the register at any Pier 1 store? And, if you “Like” Pier 1 Imports on Facebook during the month of November, Pier 1 will donate $1 to Toys for Tots.

I can’t wait to start shopping!

What are your must haves this holiday season?

Mommy……

Last night, the toddler woke up shortly before 4am in agony.
I entered his room to find him in pain.
A new molar is establishing residence within his adorable little mouth.
As I went to get him out of bed, he said
“Mommy…..owie! Mommy…..I peed. My bed wet.”
I scooped up that little man of mine and we made our way to the bathroom for a nice relaxing, calming, cooling bath.
After he climbed into the tub, he looked up at me and said
“Mommy……my bubbles? Where my bubbles go?”
I kindly honored his request and added some bubbles to the bath.
As he sat there playing, I kept wondering to myself, where my baby went.
When did he go from being a baby to a little man.
After another 5 minutes in the water, he turned to me and said
“Mommy….I all done.”
Together, we let the water out of the tub and I watched as he climbed over the side of the tub and stood on the bath mat waiting for me to wrap him in a towel.
As he climbed out he looked at me and said
“Mommy….where my towel?”
I grabbed his towel and wrapped him up.
He looked at me and said
“Mommy…..I brush teeth now?”
He climbed up on his stool, I gave him his toothbrush and away he went.
Scrubbing at his teeth, rinsing off his toothbrush and taking a drink of water and spitting it in the sink.
Again, I realized, my baby is no longer a baby.
We went in my room, climbed up on my bed and got him ready for bed.
He looked at me and said
“Mommy…..I sleep in daddy’s spot?”
I of course honored this request.
As we snuggled in bed and watched TV, he was filled will a million questions.
“Mommy…..where daddy go?”
“Mommy…..daddy at work?”
“Mommy…..daddy come home soon?”
And then, after 20 minutes of questions and answers he turned to me, gave me a big ol’ kiss and said
“Mommy…..I love you. G’night!”
