Carmex Junkie

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Carmex®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Yeah, that’s me.

The one in the corner hoarding the Carmex.

I’ve had a love affair with Carmex lip balm for years.

I keep it by my bed at night religiously.

And then, like a smack in the face, I wake up to discover that Carmex has introduced a skin care line!

Yes!!!

You can now get Carmex® Healing Lotion and Carmex® Healing Cream!  The Carmex Healing Lotion is for use anywhere skin feels dry and can be used daily to help protect your skin and keep the dryness away.  The Carmex Healing Cream is for use on your driest skin such as your hands, feet, elbows and knees.

The added bonus—-both of these products absorb fast for a non-greasy feel and have a light, pleasant scent!

For me, with Winter quickly approaching, both of these products will be a great addition to our home.  Both Carmex Healing Lotion and Carmex Healing Cream are available for purchase at Walgreens, Walgreens.com and Drugstore.com in addition to other fine retailers.  You can see the complete list HERE.

If you would like a chance to win a Tube Lover’s Trio from Carmex, head on over to their Facebook right now and ‘Like’ them!

Prepping for New York

As I mentioned in a previous post, the Libby and I will be heading to New York this Friday, the 19th for the weekend thanks to the great folks at Crayola. We will be in the city attending a premiere party for a new line of products for Tween girls called the Pop Art Pixies. And let me tell you, we are SUPER excited!!!

The Libby has been busy working on her shadow box that Crayola graciously provided her with for the event. She’s also done a little shopping for an awesome new outfit for the party as well. Again, thank you Crayola!

We are both getting ready to begin packing and finish putting the final touches on everything.
You know, like get the Libby a haircut so people can actually see her eyes.
Figure out what we are taking on the plane to keep us entertained.

We are also really anxious to see what is in store for us once we get to New York. Crayola has been keeping things a secret so at least we know we are in store for some great surprises!

I’m just really looking forward to experience flying for the first time and seeing New York and all of it’s bright lights. I’m sure I will take A LOT of pictures!

So, needless to say, if I’m not around a lot this week on here, Twitter or Facebook it’s because I’m busy getting us ready to fly away!

AboutOne.com Review

Thanks to the Review Maven, I recently had the opportunity to check out AboutOne.com. AboutOne.com is an online family information management system that allows you to keep everything all in one place. AboutOne stores your information like health records, important family documents, photographs, education and household records and so much more in one place with bank-level security. All of this information is accessible anytime, anywhere, from any device!

So far, I have been very pleased with the service and have begun using it to store copies of our birth certificates, tax records, the kids immunization records, copies of insurance cards and ID’s so I have it available to me should I need it.

It can also be used as a photo book or digital scrapbook to be able to store your family memories. I have also begun to use AboutOne to upload and save the kids art work and stories they have written at school so I always have a keepsake.

The great thing about AboutOne.com is it is completely user friendly and probably one of the easiest sites I have ever used. Not only is it easy, but it is A LOT of fun too!

AboutOne also offers some other great features like generating a monthly family newsletter complete with photos, web and video links. Or create a caregiver report to give to a babysitter or caregiver.

I personally, cannot wait to get more information into the AboutOne system and use it to its fullest extent and I am looking forward to the new capabilities that will be added in December like creating a hardcover photobook with a back story and creating and mailing greeting cards and invitations!

You can learn more about AboutOne.com by checking out this great video HERE or visit AboutOne on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube or check out the site for a FREE 15 day trial or read the AboutOne blog.

Magnets for Fun

Now, I’m the type of person who LOVES to decorate for the holidays both inside and outside of my home.  Yes, we are the house who has the tree up right after Thanksgiving and has the light up candy canes in the front yard.  Oh, and don’t forget all of those window clings adorning the front window!

Well, this year I am expanding.  Thanks to Magnets for Fun, my lovely white soccer mom minivan will be decked out with Christmas light magnets!

I know…you’re totally jealous right!?

Magnets for Fun has released their newest product, Christmas light car magnets that are brightly colored magnets shaped like C9 Christmas light bulbs.

I think they look pretty sweet on my minivan!

(Please ignore the large amount of dirt on the outside of my minivan….it is just a figment of your imagination!)

I think they look pretty great and are an awesome way to spread some holiday cheer!
I can also attest that they are strong magnets and can survive wind, rain and driving on the highway!
The Christmas light car magnets are sold in packs of 10,15,20, and 30 and start at just $9.95.

**A portion of the proceeds from the Magnets For Fun Christmas magnets will go to the Susan B. Komen for the Cure in Memory of Ann Kelsey, mother of Todd Kelsey, creator of Magnets for Fun.**
