Frozen S’mores {Recipe}

I’m all for desserts that a quick and easy to make and even more when they are one of my favorite things.

I love to make S’mores.

I don’t care if they are made over a fire or in a microwave, I just love them.

I thought I would try something knew and make Frozen S’mores.

The result was a cool and satisfying treat!

Frozen S'mores #megalomommy #recipe

All you need to make this delicious treat is a box of graham crackers, 1 tub of Cool Whip, 1 pack of mini marshmallows and 1 bottle of Hershey’s syrup.

To get started, break graham crackers in half like you would when making a regular S’more and lay them out on a cookie sheet. Make sure you have enough tops and bottoms to make your S’mores.

Next, open your container of Cool Whip and squeeze a generous amount of Hershey’s syrup into it and stir it up until it has just the right amount of chocolate flavor for you.

Once the Cool Whip is filled with chocolately goodness, put a dollop on each graham on the cookie sheet and then sprinkle a few marshmallows on tops of each before putting the top of your S’more on.

Once your S’mores are assembled, place the cookie sheet in the freezer to chill until it is time to enjoy them!

Identity Theft IS Real, Protect Yourself with LifeLock #LifeLockProtect

Let me tell you a story about identity theft.

Once upon a time, back in 2006, Alex and I were on the path of creating a perfect life for our little family.  We were living together in a duplex we were renting with hopes of home ownership after our wedding.

Near the end of 2006, a friend of mine relocated to Green Bay for a new job but he didn’t have anywhere to stay.  We were kind enough to take him in and help him out while he was working and saving up his first few paychecks to find a place to live.

Fast forward to Spring 2007 when we ended up kicking this so-called friend out of our home for abusing our friendship.

A few months later, I received our quarterly bank statement for our savings account where we were saving for our dream wedding. Imagine the shock when I realized that the money that we had been saving the last few months was almost gone.

GONE!

Our account balance….less than $100.

Little did I know that the missing money was the least of our problems.

Here we are, 7 years later and we are still paying for the mistakes of letting our friend stay with us.

We are living proof that identity theft is a real issue, we have experienced it.

I wish I could go back 7 years and take the proper steps to safeguard us from something like this happening.

Thankfully these days, we have the opportunity to use the LifeLock site

LifeLock® identity theft protection provides you with more protection than credit monitoring, and watches out for you in ways banks and credit card companies just can’t. It’s proactive and professional identity theft protection for today’s always-connected world.

Had we been enrolled in a program like LifeLock when Alex’s identity was stolen, we would have been protected and we wouldn’t still be trying to repair our credit and pay off debts that aren’t ours.

Win a Celeb Daddy Gift Pack from Daddy & Co. & My Life As A Dad – CLOSED

*This post is brought to you by Daddy & Co. and MLAAD.  I received a promotional item in order to facilitate this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This post may contain affiliate links.*

Over the last year we have shared a lot of products from Daddy & Co. (formerly Daddy Scrubs) as they have have introduced us to a great deal of items that we have fallen in love with (Daddy Diaper Pack for the win!).

In addition to Daddy & Co., we’ve also enjoyed the My Life As A Dad series on YouTube.

My Life As A Dad (MLAAD) is the first show of its kind to delve into the lives of celebrity and professional athlete dads and highlights their journey to daddy hood. The show features personal interviews, kid jam sessions, and games, along with advice, discovery, and emotional messages direct from celebrity and professional athletes that you know. MLAAD gets their answers to important questions, such as how they feel about being a dad, their parenting philosophies, how they balance their family life with their professional life and, in some cases, how they relate their unique upbringing to being a dad today. You’ll find out what their favorite activity to engage with their child is; their best piece of parenting advice, and even their first thought following their child’s birth.

The series features interviews with the likes of actor/comedian Tom Arnold, Dancing with the Stars winner J.R. Martinez, NCIS Los Angeles’ Eric Christian Olsen, Witchblade’s Will Yun Lee, and many more!

Like they say, anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad!

I love this webisode featuring Eric Christian from NCIS: Los Angeles

Love this:
On birthing classes and meeting with a doula: “It was really helpful for me to have an understanding of what the next step was and what I could do [to help and be a part of the birthing process].”

Personally, I think Eric is going to rock his gig as a Daddy!
