Crazy Facts Obsessed Kids

It seems that my love of useless knowledge has been passed down to Libby.  It never fails that she is spitting out some drivel that your average 14 year-old girl doesn’t.

For instance, this is the latest she threw my way…

A t rex would never be able to touch both hands let alone a finger together.

In case you didn’t know that already.

For some reason I find it interesting to learn strange facts about all kinds of things from people to tv shows to different states.

Like, did you know that before it was called Pepsi it was called Brad’s Drink?

It makes me laugh that this is one of my traits that Libby has and I also think it’s kind of awesome.  Someday, when she’s playing trivia or on Jeopardy she’s going to be the only person that know that shark’s have two penises.

Yep, that’s my kid…filled with useless drivel!

Do you have a child that is obsessed with crazy, useless knowledge or do you have a fun fact to share?

Why I Love Wisconsin

Over the last few years, I have had the opportunity to attend some great events and conferences as a blogger and I have enjoyed every moment of it.  I’ve been to New York, NY and Beverly Hills/L.A./Hollywood, CA and various places in between.  During my travels there is one thing that always comes up when I meet someone new and that is why Wisconsin?

When people hear I’m from Wisconsin, a lot of them assume I live on a farm and I milk cows every day.  That is sooooo not my life.  Wisconsin is more than farms and cows!

The view from the Ephraim Public Beach #Ephraim #DoorCounty #DiscoverWisconsin #Travel #ExploreYourState

I love it here and I will live here until the day I die.

Why do I love Wisconsin?

Where do I begin??

~This state is beautiful!  Wisconsin is filled with so much natural beauty and I cannot get enough of it. Lakes, rivers, forests, beaches and more, it never gets boring to me.

~There is always something new to check out regardless of which city you are in.

~Madison.  Do I really need to elaborate on that?

~I love Wisconsin sports!  The Packers, Badgers and the Brewers!

~I get to experience all 4 seasons, sometimes all in one day!

~The food!! Brats, booyah, burgers…..yum!

~The people.  I don’t know what it is, but people in Wisconsin are just nice!

~The Beer.  Nuff said.

These are just a few reasons why I love it here.  Wisconsin is my home and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else!

If I Could Do It Again

Now that I have two kids in high school, I’ve been thinking a lot about my past and if I could do it all again what would I do?

If I could go back in time, I would do high school over again and I would do things differently.

You see, when I was in high school, I didn’t really participate in school activities, clubs, etc.  I recall going to 1 football game in the 4 years I was in high school.  I dated the same guy most of high school (and he didn’t even go to my school) and I definitely didn’t work as hard as I could have.  Basically, I did what I needed to do to get through school, graduate and get the heck out.

If you gave me the chance to go back to high school right now, you would see an entirely different Anne.  I would join clubs, attend football games and other sporting events.  I would take classes that really interest me, not just the ones I need to graduate or that are easy.  I would actually apply myself (this is HUGE to me…I had a 3.5 GPA when I graduated with my AA, wish I would have worked as hard in high school).

This year, I have been encouraging my kids to get involved in more clubs and school events and so far, they have been doing a great job.  Now, if only I could go back and take that same advice!

If you could go back and do it all over again, would you?  What would you do differently?

Meet Monster High Freaky Fusion **ROLLBACK PRICES**

While I haven’t experienced Monster High and all of it’s ‘ghoulishness’ first hand, I do have a niece and several friends who have kids who are crazy about these characters and dolls.

Since the holidays will be here before we know it (less than 100 shopping days until Christmas) and I am preparing to shop for gifts for those who are near and dear as well as those who are less fortunate, so I thought now was a good time to familiarize myself with these new toys.

The Monster High® Freaky Fusion™ ghouls go deep into the catacombs of Monster High to help Frankie look for clues about her past and learn more about her family scaritage. There, they inadvertently set off a time machine that takes them back to the year 1814 where they meet Sparky, a misguided, teen scientist obsessed with the creation of life. Sparky follows Frankie back to modern day Monster High, causing a lab accident in which eight ghouls fuse into four new monsters!

The Freaky Fusion line consists of 4 Freaky fused dolls”

Lagoonafire created by fusing the Sea Monster heritage of Lagoona Blue with the Chinese Dragon ancestry of Jinafire; she loves to surf and swim like she’s on fire!

Clawvenus is a combination of Clawdeen Wolf and Venus Mc Flytrap.  She is fiercly ‘fusionable’ and ferociously beautiful however, she may need to use a weed-and-feed formula on her hair.

Dracubecca takes the Vampire heritage of Draculaura and the Mad Scientist ancestry of Robecca Steam to give you a scary but sweet Dracubecca.

Cleolei is created by fusing the Mummy heritage of Cleo de Nile with the werecat of ancestry of Toralei.  She packs some ferocious issues but it’s nothing a little cat nip can’t fix.

After learning more about the Freaky Fusion Ghouls, I decided to find out which ghoulfriend I am more like, thanks the Dual Ghoul Personality Test at Walmart.com, you number one stop for all of your Monster High needs!

I’m more like Clawvenus…..maybe I should try tome weed-and-feed on my lucious locks and see if it will help tame things!

Take the Dual Ghoul Personality Test and leave a comment below telling me which Ghoul you are most like!
