Since I became a mom, there is one thing I do more than anything else and that is take photos. Back when Zack was born in 1999, digital cameras were just becoming a thing. Now, for at least the last decade, I have documented my kids and our family life in photos and as you can imagine, with 5 kids, that amounts to a lot of photos.
Now here I am, with thousands of photos on my computer, discs, and external hard drives. I would love nothing more then to be able to organize them all in one place to make it much easier to find the photos I am looking for.
Thanks to MiMedia, a new cloud service I was asked to try, my pictures have found a new, organized home!
MiMedia is an awesome cloud service to store all of your family memories in photos, videos and even music and documents.
Over the last 2 months, I have been busy moving photos to my MiMedia account and have been amazed by how great it is at organizing them. Everything is put in order by date which has made it really easy to help Zack on his scrapbook project for school. In addition to the photos I have scattered everywhere that I have been uploading to MiMedia, I have also been uploading new photos taken from my phone directly to the cloud as well thanks to the MiMedia app.

It’s hard to believe that our sweet little Ellie is almost 4 and a half years old. This is a fun age and she’s so excited about so many things. She just started her first season of soccer and she loves it, she’s looking forward to summer school and her getting ready for 4K class, and she can’t wait to start 4K in the fall. However, of all the things she is excited about, the one thing she wants more than anything is to learn how to ride a bike just like her big brother.
Ellie is definitely ready to learn how to ride a bike. She is excellent at working the pedals, she knows how to stop and steer, now it is just a matter of putting it all together and adding in the balancing act.
We recently took Ellie to Toys“R”Us to look at bikes and she was beyond thrilled to leave with a girls’ 16 inch Schwinn Jamboree Bike.
Established in 1895, Schwinn is the go-to resource for the recreational bike rider. Toys”R”Us has the largest selection of 16” bikes for kids.
Schwinn makes shopping for a bike for your child easy with this guide to the basics of choosing a bike for young rider.
Ellie, of course, loves everything about her new bike, especially the basket and streamers. As for me, I am a big fan of the banana seat and fenders because it reminds me of the Schwinn I had as a kid.
Built around the proportions of a child, the Schwinn Jamboree Girls’ 16″ Bike offers SmartStart to ensure your little one rides in comfort. The single-speed bicycle features a coaster brake for simplicity as your little rider bikes up and down your driveway. Coordinating fenders, streamers and classic Schwinn styling provide a cute look, and the handlebar basket lets your youngster bring her favorite toys along for the ride. 6″ tires for speeding along in your driveway, Single-speed for ease of use, Coaster brake for sure stopping power, Handlebar basket lets your little one bring toys or a drink while she rides, Classic Schwinn styling, Coordinated fenders and handlebar streamers for a fun design, SmartStart is built around the proportions of a child for easy on and off, Recommended height: 38″ – 48″ tall.
Ellie has been working hard to learn how to ride her new bike and the more she works, the closer she gets to being able to take the training wheels off. I love that with this bike there is less wobble with the training wheels which makes it easier to learn to ride-better balance and of course like all Schwinn bikes, SmartStart bikes have a limited lifetime warranty for as long as you own the bike
Of course when it comes to learn to ride a bike, we always want the kids to be safe during the learning process and whenever they get on their bike so be sure you child has a helmet anytime they are riding.
I am looking forward to working with Ellie some more on her new bike and helping her gain the confidence she needs to take the training wheels off and learn to ride her new bike and I am also looking forward to being able to ride along with her!

Whether this is something of a dream, or a vacation you plan to take in the future, a break from the children can often be welcomed. We have to remember sometimes that we are still individuals and a couple, as well as playing the roles of mom and dad. If you get the chance to have a vacation without the kids, whether that be a weekend or something longer, it’s worth taking that opportunity. It can do wonders for your relationship. With that in mind, I thought I would share with you some of the destinations you should consider.
Las Vegas
A holiday without the kids can mean one of two things. Either you want to relax with your half and catchy up on well-deserved sleep. Or you want to enjoy the party with a few cocktails thrown in. If the party is what you want, then Las Vegas can surely provide it. The city that never sleeps. You can enjoy some time in the casinos and bars. You might want to catch a show from some of the top quality residencies that are held there. Or you may just want to enjoy the rollercoaster that sits on top of a hotel. Whatever you decide to do with your time you will have a fantastic vacation in Las Vegas.
Cancun
If you are after a more relaxed vibe during the day with a something going on at night then why not consider Cancun. Cancun holidays are fast becoming popular, and you can see why. There is many an all-inclusive hotel to unwind during the day. These tend to sit on the beach meaning you don’t need to move far for a beautiful view. Or you can take in some of the picturesque surroundings by doing a tour.
Barbados
Perhaps you just want to be in one another’s company. Then consider a trip to Barbados. A relaxing Caribbean island that will allow you to sink into a sunbed while hearing the waves softly in the background. It’s a little piece of heaven. This is the perfect spot for a little romance if this is your intended purpose.
England
If you are the couple that doesn’t sit still then why not take in the greenery and attractions of England. You could head to London and see Buckingham Palace. Or head up north where the locals are said to be some of the friendliest around. There is so much to do that the main dilemma will be what can you fit in?
Italy
Finally, you could take in the country love. Italy has many destinations that will ignite the romance in a couple. Rome being the most famous and with so many attractions to take in you won’t be bored. There is also the wonderful food to sample. Pasta and pizza galore, what is not to love? There is also Venice and Florence with all their characteristics and charm. A little bit further than some couples would like to travel but it will be well worth it.
I hope this has inspired you for your next adult only escape.
Now that Spring has finally sprung here in Wisconsin and we have some warmer temperatures and beautiful weather, I decided it was time to take the teenagers to freshen up their spring/summer wardrobes.
With 5 growing kids, you can probably imagine how expensive it gets to keep them all in clothes that fit. I have to admit, since our local Gordmans store opened saving money while shopping for them has been easy.
If you have never been to a Gordmans you need to get to one because it will change the way you shop. Gordmans offers spot-on spring trends for up to 60 percentoff department and specialty store prices, every day.
Style Is In Bloom
Gordmans has everything you need to piece together the perfect spring and summer wardrobe. From standout sandals to light and bright dresses, Gordmans carries fresh apparel for spring.
Additionally, plaid and bohemian continue to be popular trends for spring 2016. Gordmans puts a fresh spin on ‘70s bohemian style with new colors, added crochet and more fringe.
Regardless of who or what you are shopping for this season, Gordmans has it all.
