For years I have wanted to get out of bed bright and early on a Sunday morning in June, get dressed, load up the family and participate in one of the Breakfast on the Farm events that takes place here in Wisconsin.
Every June (Dairy Month) different farms in different counties put on a huge event and invite people to come and enjoy breakfast and more.
This year, when I realized we missed the event in our county on June 1st, I quickly made plans to attend one the following Sunday in Oconto County.
So, on June 8th, Alex and I got up bright and early, took showers and got dressed, got the kids up and dressed, loaded them into the van and made our way to the Triple C Dairy Farm in Oconto Falls WI for the Oconto County Breakfast on the Farm.
Here we are riding the tractor from the field (parking lot) to the farm.
Once we made it over to the farm we met up with Alex’s parents and got in line for breakfast.
Waiting in line for breakfast.
Breakfast was an all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs with ham and cheese, sausage, yogurt, apple slices, cheese, milk, coffee, orange juice and ice cream. (Cost was $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12.)
Everyone enjoying their breakfast.
The pancakes were soooooooo delicious and even better once they were topped with fresh Wisconsin maple syrup. I could eat it everyday!
Once breakfast was done we made out way out to explore the rest of the farm but first, I had to snap a picture with the giant cow.
The kids enjoyed playing in the bounce houses, visiting the petting zoo, getting balloon animals and Ellie really liked getting her face painted.
There was so much to do and the weather was beautiful. It ended up being the perfect day to attend and we really enjoyed it. Alexander’s favorite part was when they fired up an old Case Steam Tractor and drove it around the property and blew the steam whistle a few times.
We had so much fun and are already looking forward to attending another breakfast on the farm next year. Thanks Triple C Farm for such a great day!
