Create a Well-Balanced Plate with Stouffer’s and Kid Friendly Sides

This post is in collaboration with Balance Your Plate and Stouffer’s.
As part of the collaboration, I received product and incentives in exchange for participating in the program.

With the holiday season quickly approaching and our schedules filling up, we have had some difficulties with menu planning and actually having real meals, as a family.

When it comes to mealtime in our home, we do our best to make sure that our meals are well-balanced. Since we don’t always have the time to throw together a complete, well-balanced meal from scratch so we do have to get creative and come up with other options.

On those days of complete chaos and no time to throw a meal together, I am thankful that our family can turn to Stouffer’s and their Lasagna with Meat & Sauce made with premium ingredients, along with some quick, kid-friendly sides. Not only is this meal great for those hectic days, it is also perfect for holidays and entertaining.

Stouffer’s Lasagna with meat & sauce contains freshly made pasta layered between a rich meat sauce and topped with real mozzarella cheese and boasts 16 grams of protein per serving! Once you add in some delicious fruit kabobs, garlic bread, and a simple Caesar salad, and you have a well balanced meal on your plate.

Stouffer’s lasagna comes in a family size, and is made the way you would imagine, just pop it into the oven, pair it with these simple sides to balance your plate, and serve!

Fruit Kabobs

Fruit kabobs are so easy to make that even the kids can create them. For our kabobs, we used wooded skewers and fresh raspberries, grapes, and blueberries, as well as mini-marshmallows. Before you place items on your skewers, make sure that all of your fruit is clean.

When you start your kabob, you will want to place a marshmallow on the skewer first to ensure all of your fruit stays on. After that, layer fruit as you wish, add a marshmallow here and there, and finish wish a marshmallow to make sure nothing falls off.

The great thing is that making fruit kabobs takes less than 15 minutes from start to finish.

Caesar Side Salad

For our Caesar salad, the kids just tossed some romaine lettuce along with Parmesan cheese, croutons, and Caesar dressing in a bowl to properly distribute items and then we served it on the side.
