The Great Bunny Train 2013

**This post is made possible thanks to our friends at the National Railroad Museum and US Family Guide. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

The weekend before Easter, our family was fortunate enough to attend The Great Bunny Train at the National Railroad Museum here in Green Bay. We spent 3 hours checking out the museum, participating in Easter activities, meeting the Easter Bunny and going on a train ride.

I have lived in Green Bay my entire life and I have no memories of ever actually going to the railroad museum so this wasn’t just a great experience for the kids but me too!

The kids had a great time meeting the Easter Bunny. (Minus Alexander who was scared to go near him).

The kids really enjoyed checking out the trains.

I enjoyed seeing all of the people and snapping pictures.

Ellie really enjoyed her freedom and being able to run around, play with big floor puzzles and the train tables.

Before calling it a day, we made our way out to the train depot and boarded the train where we took our seats, met our conductor and received a special golden egg with a chocolate treat inside.

The 3 older kids enjoyed sitting on the top tier of the train car while Alex, Ellie and myself remained on the lower level.

All in all everyone had a great time. Alexander is already planning on going back this summer to see Thomas the Train!

Thank you to our friends at the National Railroad Museum and US Family Guide for making this possible.

The Harlem Globetrotters #GlobieFamily

I am excited to share that I recently became a Harlem Globetrotters Affiliate! For years, my kids have seen the commercials advertising the local show of the Harlem Globetrotters right around Christmas and this year I am super excited that I will get to take them to their first show!!

With Alex working 2nd shift these days, our evenings are often filled with homework, after-school activities, different appointments and faith formation class once a week.

Lately I’ve been trying to make our nights without daddy a bit more fun. We now have pizza and movie night once a week, a weekly game night and we’ve been spending more time in the kitchen together as a family as well.

When time and finances allow for it I love taking the kids to special events in the area and I am really happy that this year, right after Christmas I am going on a date with Zack, Libby and Alexander to see the Harlem Globetrotters here in Green Bay!

When I shared this news with the kids they were really excited and they cannot wait to go.  Mom better start saving up for some awesome souvenirs!

Be sure to get your tickets to a show near you!!

“The Harlem Globetrotters love seeing families laugh together during our games, and would love to see your family when we come to a city near you. If you’re looking for an awesome event the whole family will enjoy, get your tickets to the Harlem Globetrotters “You Write the Rules” tour. Your family’s smiles will start before you even get to the game because this year, your family can vote at harlemglobetrotters.com, and decide rules for the game like two balls in play at the same time that could affect the final outcome. After the game, Globetrotters will stay on court to sign autographs and take photographs with your kids. The only thing better than finding an event the whole family will enjoy, is getting a great deal on it. Save $7 per ticket* by using the promo code “TOGETHER”. Get ready to experience a show your family will remember for a lifetime! *Discount available on select ticket levels”

Sesame Street Live: Can’t Stop Singing

Disclosure:  I received complimentary tickets to the show from Vee Corporation. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Today, Alex and I made our way to the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena in Green Bay to take Alexander and Ellie to see Sesame Street Live: Can’t Stop Singing.

This was my first time attending a Sesame Street Live event, Alex and Alexander attended a show back in 2010 when I was in NYC. I was so happy to be able to tag along this time and even more excited that we were able to get some free Meet & Greet Passes from a friend who wasn’t able to use them.

We arrived at the arena 90 minutes prior to the show to get in our Meet & Greet.
Alexander was beyond excited!

The kids got to snuggle with Elmo & Cookie Monster, and the Alex and I even got in on the action. From there we toured Sesame Street and took some additional pictures (stop by The Megalomaniac Mommy Facebook Page to see more!), and then we hung out in the Play Zone to see a few musical performances and warm up before the show!

All in all a good time was had by all. Ellie lasted the first 20 minutes of the show before passing out for a nap and woke up right as it ended. Alexander was glued to the show the entire time. Both Alex and I enjoyed the show and loved all of the different tunes….I am seriously regretting not buying the CD of the show so we can listen to them again!

Be sure to find out if Sesame Street Live: Can’t Stop Singing is coming to a town near you!
