Devious Maids Season 1

Since we ditched cable over a year ago, there are quite a few shows we haven’t seen but I have heard about.  One of the shows a lot of my girlfriends have been talking about is Devious Maids and until recently, I had no clue why.

Libby and I recently sat down and binge watched the first season Devious Maids and I have to admit, only a few minutes into the first episode, we were sucked in.

Honestly, I should have known we were going to be hooked since it is a comedy-drama series created by Marc Cherry and we were huge fans of his hit, Desperate Housewives.

For those who are unfamiliar, Devious Maids is about five women who are bonded together by their jobs, their dreams and the dirt they sweep under the rug.  The series focuses on four Latina maids who work in the homes of some of Beverly Hills’ wealthiest and most powerful families.  The storyline is filled with dirt, schemes and even murder!

The show’s cast includes Ana Ortiz (from Ugly Betty) as the lead character, and Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sánchez, Edy Ganem, and Judy Reyes as other maids, with Susan Lucci, Rebecca Wisocky, Tom Irwin, Brianna Brown, Brett Cullen, Mariana Klaveno, and Grant Show all in featureed main roles.

Devious Maids Season 1 is now available for purchase on DVD at a retailer near you.  Season 1 has 13 episodes and some great bonus features including extended and deleted scenes and bloopers, which are always my favorite!

Don’t forget to tune into Lifetime on Sunday, April 20th for the Season 2 premiere!

Hey Arnold!: Season 2 Part 2 on DVD July 24th

Come hang out with Arnold, Gerald and the gang for more adventure-filled fun in the big city! Season Two, Part 2 delivers some of the best moments yet when Arnold enters an eating contest, Rhonda gets glasses, Phoebe becomes a power-hungry hall monitor, Helga uses Stinky to make Arnold jealous and more!

Once again, the gang is back in our home and I am reliving Hey Arnold!  Zack & Libby have really enjoyed sharing Arnold and his friends with the 4-year-old Alexander.  My only complaint is now Alexander refers to everyone as Football head!

Hey Arnold!: Season Two Part 2 features 10 original episodes from the second season of Nickelodeon’s Hit Animated Series on DVD from Shout! Factory.

G.I. JOE: Renegades Season One Vol. 1 – June 5th

This summer, prepare to join the action and witness the emergence of the heroic G.I. JOE team as a cadre of highly-trained specialists who are forced to band together to prevent the nefarious COBRA from achieving world domination. G.I. JOE:  Renegades Season 1 Volume 1 arrives on DVD today in a collectible 2-DVD set. Featuring the first 13 episodes from the first season, this collectible 2-DVD set is a must have for fans, kids and collectors.

When a spy mission against Cobra Industries goes awry, a group of young G.I. JOE team members is forced to hit the road as fugitives. Now the team members — DUKE, SCARLETT, ROADBLOCK, TUNNEL RAT, RIPCORD, BREAKER and SNAKE EYES — must use their wits and elite training to prove their innocence to the world before being caught by the authorities, the COBRA organization or, worse yet, another elite military team called the Falcons.

With exciting, action-packed storytelling, spectacular animation, G.I. JOE Renegades, produced by Hasbro Studios, boasts an incredible voice cast, including Charlie Adler (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Lee Majors (Six Million Dollar Man), Clancy Brown (Shawshank Redemption), Jason Marsden (Batman: The Brave and the Bold), Johnny Messner (Tears of the Sun) and Kevin Michael Richardson (The Batman).

I, personally, have been a G.I. JOE fan for as long as I can remember and am glad that I have passed that love on to my boys as well. As a young child, I was a HUGE Tomboy and was into all of the awesome cartoons for boys and steered far away from the girl ones. It didn’t take long before I was hooked on G.I. JOE.
