It’s no secret that we love football in our home. We are big supporters of the NFL, NCAA and high school leagues and of course, we have our teams. When it comes to college football, you can bet we spend our Saturdays watching the Wisconsin Badgers take on their latest opponent.

Febreze Holiday Scents & Easy Apple Tart Recipe

Now that November has arrived, the holidays are just around the corner. It is taking every fiber of my being to not start decorating for Christmas and put a tree up. *I must wait until after Thanksgiving. I must wait until after Thanksgiving.*

Just because I can’t jump the gun and throw up Christmas throughout our home doesn’t mean that I can’t enjoy the smells of the holidays before they arrive.

There are soooo many smells that go along with the holidays that I enjoy. I love anything that is pumpkin spiced or apple cinnamon, the fresh Christmas tree scent and sugar cookie. All of these scents make me crave the holidays.

Thankfully, I don’t have to wait for the holidays to arrive to fill our home with these intoxicating smells. Febreze has a complete line of holiday scents for the home, available at Walmart, and we have been busy putting them to use.

I am in love with each of these scents! Since I’ve been overwhelming my family with these delicious scents, I thought it was only right to indulge them in a little treat so Libby and I whipped up some easy apple pie tarts for dessert.

You can easily make these Mini Apple Pie Tarts for your friends and family following the recipe below.

Ingredients

-1/2 cup of water

-1/4 cup of sugar

-1/2 tsp cinnamon

-1/2 tsp vanilla

-2 tbsp flour

-a pinch of salt

-4 diced apples

-16 wonton wrappers

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 375*F. Whisk the water, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and flour in a pot over medium heat. Add the apples and stir until the liquid starts to boil and thicken.

2. Set the heat to low and cook, covered, for 12 to 15 minutes until the apples soften.

3. Press the wonton wrappers into a greased mini-muffin pan. If you like sweeter tarts, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

4. Scoop the apple mixture into the wontons and bake for about 10 minutes.

5. Enjoy!
