Old Car Exchange at David Hobbs Honda

Being from Wisconsin, it is no secret that I am always willing to help spread the word about different Wisconsin based businesses. Some, actually, most of these businesses, I have had the pleasure of working with over the last 5 years.  When I find a business that I feel I would personally shop at, or work with, or recommend to someone, I like to share them here on the blog with my readers.

I recentely learned of David Hobbs Honda in Glendale, Wisconsin and have made the executive decision that when the time comes (in the very near future) I feel that it would be worth the drive for us to visit the dealership due to their Old Car Exchange program.

Riding in Style…..Again

For the past few months, we have been reduced to being a one car family, once again.  Alex’s car was not a fan of the extreme cold we experienced this winter which left his car in the garage and my van as his only means of transportation to and from work.

Of course, not having my van around in the evenings wasn’t a big deal through the winter since  it was just too cold to take a baby out. However, now that spring is upon us, I am looking forward to having my van back home with me and the ‘ghetto cruiser’ at work with Alex.  I’ve been looking forward to seeing him riding in style again.

Since it’s getting nice out and his car is finally running again, I’m thinking it might be time to take it in for a Full Vehicle Check-up while they are being offered for $39.95 (plus a $10 mail in rebate) at places like Kayser Ford here in Wisconsin.

It will definitely be nice now that the weather is getting nicer to have a car home with us in the evenings to escape the house and go for some ice cream or just get out of the house.

Prom Season is Fast Approaching

*This post is brought to you by JenJenHouse*

It’s hard to believe that Spring is upon us which means that prom season is fast approaching.  In our school district, prom is April 12th and I know quite a few teenage girls who are busy planning for their perfect prom, which includes finding the perfect dress.

My prom wasn’t very memorable for me and I really wish I would have done more to really enjoy it.  Instead, I bought a simple black slip dress off the rack, strappy black heals and since I had short hair, the glamorous prom updo was definitely out of the question.

For my daughter’s, I want them to experience it all.  Prom is a time to have fun with your friends and you get to dress up like a full-on princess so why not make the most of it.

Even though I have few years before Libby will head to prom, that doesn’t stop me from looking at dresses every year when prom season approaches.

I love to browse dresses online at places like http://www.jenjenhouse.com/Prom-Dresses-c18/ and look at the latest styles, I feel this way I will be prepared once I am actually shopping for a prom dress.

Since Libby is Doctor Who obsessed, she gravitates towards things that are Tardis blue or for those who are familiar with that color, it’s basically a dark navy.  We recently decided to look at dresses at jenjenhouse.com and of course, she immediately wanted to see what they had in dark navy and within minutes, she was in love when she saw this beautiful ball gown.

Although we still have a few years to go, I’m sure we will continue to check out the new options each prom season.

I am pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of dresses that JenJenHouse has to offer, there really is something for everyone!

Do you have a teenage daughter who is headed to their first prom?  What is she (or you) looking for in that perfect dress?
