Today I felt like I truly helped someone.
Like I had made their holiday season brighter.
It all began with me toying with the idea of registering for Disney Social Media Moms because I REALLY want to go!
So, when the registration opened today, I clicked on it and waited to register.
While I was waiting, I realized that I couldn’t attend because of a previous commitment during that time frame.
I realized this as soon as I finally made it to the landing page to register.
So, I did what I thought was the best thing to do.
I turned to Twitter.
And, I sent out a tweet….
Okay, I was gonna register for #disneysmmoms & then realized we have a scheduling conflict but I am IN to register anyone want to use mine?
And of course, people responded.
A lot of people responded.
My Twitter stream was filled.
I responded to the first tweet I received and was introduced to a lovely gal from Ohio named Amanda.
Amanda wasn’t a complete stranger to me.
I have exchanged tweets with her before.
In a matter of minutes, I was on the phone with Amanda registering her and her family for the Disney Social Media Moms event.
It was like we were old friends.
During our conversation, I learned that Amanda LOVES Disney.
She is so committed to Disney, she even has 3 Disney themed tattoos.
Amanda was more than grateful for what I had done for her.
She was almost in tears on the phone.
Hearing her joy and happiness made me feel wonderful.
I was glad that I could help her out.
Once our call ended, I popped over to Amanda’s blog and learned even more about this new friend of mine.
After reading about her health issues and what she has struggled with over the years, I was even happier that she was the person I was able to help today.
The Holiday season is the season for giving and this year I plan on doing whatever I can to pay it forward and give to others.
Happy Holidays to Amanda and her family.
Thank you for making my life brighter!
