I recently had the chance to check out The Miracle of Me, by Amy B. Pedersen, which chronicles life in the womb. I wish this book would have been around when I was expecting my 2nd and 3rd children so the older child would have had a story to follow along with.
This book uses simple language so it can be understood by all ages in addition to poetry and takes the reader on a week-by-week journey on how the baby grows and develop throughout pregnancy. With the use of everyday objects like rulers and scales, it is easier to visualize the baby’s progress. By far the best part of this book, is the real in-utero photography.
Expecting moms and young children alike foster an early connection with the baby in their life through this medically accurate yet entertaining book.
When I showed this book to my middle child, the Libby, she thought it was really cool to see the pictures of the baby and watching him continue to grow.
