Having 5 kids ranging in age from newborn to 14 makes it difficult to keep everyone entertained at the same time. The older kids are usually off with their friends or want their space which leaves the entertaining of an extremely active 5 year old and a rambunctious tollder to me.
Since we never know what the weather is going to be from one minute to the next here in Wisconsin, I like to make sure we have all kinds of different things in the closet to keep the kiddos entertained. Sometimes we play games, others we color or play with play doh and then there are the time we craft.
One of Alexander’s favorite rainy day activities is crafting and he was super excited to receive some awesome crafting kits from Text-UR Foam.
Text-UR Foam is the new craft item that brings craft foamto a whole new dimension. You’ll literally feel the fun by combining interesting textures with an added 3D element to make craft projects stand up and stand out!
These reasonably priced kits ($2.99 to $8.99) offer kids the chance to make something crafty using peel and stick 3D spacers along with the 3D text-UR Foam sheets (which come in 6 bright colors and cool textures like Wavy, Scaly and Terry Cloth)
Alexander spent the last rainy day crafty with the Bee Stand-Up Kit and the Bugs Activity Kit.
Of course, he had an absolute blast and probably would have used up every piece on the first rainy day if I would have let him. All of his hardwork definitely paid off in the end and mommy ended up with an awesome Bee and some great new refrigerator magnets.
He’s already looking forward to making more on the next rainy day that leaves him trapped inside!
As a mom, I am loving these kits from Text-UR Foam because they are a great project for the kids to do on their own.
You can grab your own Text-UR Foam Kits at Michaels, Joann’s, Meijer and A.C. Moore, and make sure to check out the Text-UR® Foam website for fun product ideas.
