On our recent trip to Sheboygan, as we were packing up to come home, we turned on the TV in our hotel room to find something to keep Miss Ellie entertained. We stumbled upon Sofia the First on Disney, this was our first encounter with Sofia. Within minutes, Ellie was mesmerized. This of course, made me very happy as I had just learned 2 days prior that Sofia The First: Ready To Be A Princess was headed to our house on DVD and actually being delivered the following day.
If you haven’t heard of Sofia the First, you might want to check her out.
“Sofia the First” is set in the storybook world of Enchancia and tells the story of Princess Sofia, an adventurous little girl who is learning how to adjust to royal life after her mom marries the king and she becomes a princess overnight. Sofia quickly discovers that looking like a princess isn’t all that difficult, but possessing the characteristics of a true princess – honesty, loyalty, courage, independence, compassion and grace – is what makes one truly royal.
Ellie has watched this DVD almost every day since it arrived. In addition to the DVD, you also get a really cool Sofia Doll Dress Up Kit inside the DVD and Ellie plays with that nonstop as well.
Sofia The First stars Ariel Winter (ABC TV’s “Modern Family”) as Sofia, Sara Ramirez (ABC TVs “Grey’s Anatomy”) as Queen Miranda, Wayne Brady (TV’s “Let’s Make A Deal”) as Clover & Tim Gunn (TV’s “Project Runway”) as Baileywick.
This DVD runs approximately 110 minutes and contains the following 5 episodes:
1- “A Royal Mess”
2- “The Shy Princess”
3 – “Blue Ribbon Bunny”
4 – “The Princess Test”
5 – “Two To Tangu” (Jasmine Episode)
