Today, Alex and I took the kids to Sir Bounce-A-Lot’s in Ashwaubenon to indulge in some family fun.
Sir Bounce-A-Lot’s is an indoor play center filled with arcade games and 7 giant inflatables. They also offer the Castle Cafe which carries pizza, appetizers, wings and more!
I decided to head there because of the Family Fun Pack coupon they were currently offering on their website. The coupon is good for Bounce Admission (up to 4), 60 Game Tokens, Large 1 Topping Pizza, a Pitcher of Pop and apparently a basket of wings (this I did not know) all for $42.95 (This coupon is good until 10.31.11).
Since admission is $8.00 per child – parents are free and the large pepperoni pizza we had is $16.55 and a pitcher of soda is $4.25 the coupon was already saving us money. Add on that 60 tokens would have cost us an extra $15.00 and you definitely come out ahead.
Unfortunately from that point on things seemed to start going downhill fast.
I expected the arcade games to take 1 token each as they do at establishments similar to Sir Bounce-A-Lot’s
Nope, for Xander to ride the car in the picture below for about 30 seconds, it was 2 tokens.
Games used anywhere from 1-4 tokens to play and may I add they had the most difficult Skee-Ball games I have ever seen.
Another disappointment was the food. Although our pizza tasted pretty good we were not impressed at all when we order the Veggie Combo Basket for $5.95. Now I don’t know about you, but when I think of a veggie combo basket I picture carrots, cauliflower, broccoli etc. along with a veggie dip of some type.
Sir Bounce-A-Lot’s idea of a Veggie Combo Basket is 5 deep fried mozzarella sticks, a pile of deep fried onion rings along with ranch and the worst tasting marinara as dipping sauces.
Although the kids had fun, I think Xander our 3.5 year old had the most fun on the inflatables (as seen in the pictures) and the older kids enjoyed the arcade more.
Now the question is, would we return to Sir Bounce-A-Lot’s in the future?
Alex and I both feel that the arcade area is a rip-off and makes other establishments look great in comparison.
We found the food to also be disappointing and over-priced as well.
I think the only way that we will be returning is if one of the kids were to get invited to a birthday party, we received a gift certificate or if they offered better deals and food.
