11/18 – Annual Peace Tree Ceremony @6pm at the Brown County Courthouse (FREE): The Peace Tree Lighting is a longtime tradition started by the Green Bay Chapter of People for People in response to the Vietnam War and a need for peace. Today, area children gather and read essays on peace, sing holiday music and come together to kick off the holiday season in Downtown Green Bay.
11/19-11/20 -It’s A Wonderful Life: A Life Radio Play at The Weidner Center (Multiple Performances, tickets starting at $27.50) This beloved American holiday classic comes to captivating life as a live 1940’s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. Set in New York City’s Studio A at WBFR Radio on Christmas Eve, 1946, you will become members of a studio audience for a live radio broadcast, complete with live music, commercials and sound effects in the tradition of the period.
11/20: Lighting Cermony & Gingerbread Home Tour On Broadway @ 5pm (FREE) The traditional holiday Lighting Ceremony On Broadway is Friday, November 20, 2015 in the Historic Broadway District. From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the district will come alive with Holiday Cheer as we celebrate the beginning of this festive season and the magic with which it brings to our community. 11/21: 32nd Annual AT&T Green Bay Holiday Parade @ 10am (FREE)
The 32nd Annual AT&T Green Bay Holiday Parade will take place Sat., November 21st at 10 a.m. The theme is “Sounds of the Season” Visit the full event site for entry application, route, sponsors and more.
11/21: Holiday Memories of Downtown Green Bay at Neville Public Museum (ongoing through 1/6/2016 / admission starting at $3) Celebrate the holiday season with us at the Neville! Explore the museum and find your favorite holiday displays like the Snow Babies and the animal band throughout the building. 11/27: WPS Garden of Lights at Green Bay Botanical Garden (Ongoing event/ Tickets $5-$13)
Green Bay Botanical Garden transforms into a stunning winter landscape featuring botanical light displays inspired by its natural features.
11/28 & 12/12- The Best Who-liday @9am at The Children’s Museum of Green Bay (registration required, $5 full museum members/$10 non-members) Walk into the pages of Dr. Seuss’s classic holiday tale. This pre- registered snack and story time hour will include making of your snack, Who-ville hair-do or Grinch face painting, a scavenger hunt and story. Includes museum play afterwards.
