Every now and again, we like to have breakfast for dinner or Brinner as we like to call it.
I especially like recipes for breakfast foods that are quick and easy.
Tonight, I served up Egg Nests for Brinner with fries on the side for hash browns.
They were soooo yummy!!!
- 12 slices of bread
- 12 large eggs
- Salt and pepper
- 6 teaspoons butter
- Preheat over to 350*F
- Grease a 12-cup muffin tin. Remove crust from bread. Place one bread slice in each muffin cup; push down gently so it looks like a cup with 4 corners.
- Carefully drop a raw egg into each cup. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top each egg with 1/2 teaspoon butter. Bake 15 minutes or until eggs are cooked and bread is toasted.
Overall, they were a hit in our house. We decided we are going to play with the recipe next time and add some bacon pieces and cheese on top of the egg.
Let me know if you give it a try and what you think!
