I love having childhood flashbacks.
JEM & The Holograms was a HUGE part of my childhood.
Last October, Shout Factory, in collaboration with Hasbro Studios released Season 1 of JEM & The Holograms on DVD and I welcomed it into our home with open arms.
Well, the two have teamed up once again and have now brought us Season 2 in a collectible 4-DVD set. This set features all 26 original episodes from the complete second season and it also includes a special bonus feature, Video Jukebox!
The adventures of JEM and The Holograms continue with a talent search for a new member, an Aztec mystery, a trip to meet the President, a Hollywood film and more! Jem and The Holograms are producing hit after hit on the music charts, but keeping Jem’s true identity a secret has been far tougher. Kimber, Aja, Shana and newcomer Raya are Jem/ Jerrica’s best friends as well as the musical force behind Jem — and the only people who know her true identity. Together, the girls provide cool cover-ups for Jem/ Jerrica while navigating some pretty sticky situations and battling their troublesome rival rock band, The Misfits!
The series JEM and The Holograms ran from 1985-’88 in first-run syndication and still boasts a loyal and vocal fan base. It is frequently credited with influencing fashion in the late 1980s and beyond, and launching the careers of female pop-rock stars and music groups. The series follows Jerrica Benton, whose discovery of Synergy, a powerful computer companion, allows her to transform from owner of Starlight Music into rock star Jem. Teaming with her sister and best friends who form The Holograms, Jem sets out to make their musical dreams come true, even as she battles against the ruthless Eric Raymond and his musical protégés.

Recently we had the opportunity to sit down together and review the Disney Channel’s latest original movie, Geek Charming.
Geek Charming stars Modern Family’s Sarah Hyland as Dylan Schoenfield, Woodlands Academy’s top girl! When Dylan accidentally drops her expensive handbag into the mall fountain, she is surprised that film geek, Josh Rosen (Matt Prokop), retrieves it for her. In exchange for rescuing her bag, Dylan must agree to be the subject of Josh’s documentary film. Dylan hopes the film will help her campaign for Blossom Queen – she claims that winning is her only life goal. Josh plans to make a hard-hitting expose about popularity, but, as he gets to know Dylan, he learns that the real Dylan is much more interesting than the persona she’s created.
Did I mention that the 2-Disc DVD (DVD + Digital Copy) also includes 10 episodes of the Disney Channel smash hit television show “Shake It Up,” plus a special collectible charm set.

This past weekend, I introduced my children to the story of Lady & The Tramp.
You know, classic tale of Dog meets girl. Dog falls in love with girl. Dog and girl share spaghetti in a super cute scene.
Yes, that movie.
Lady & The Tramp is a classic love story.
Lady, a pampered and pedigreed cocker spaniel falls head over heels in love with Tramp, a street smart pooch.
Although they have fun together on several dates, including the spaghetti dinner by moonlight at Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound. However, good-hearted Tramp redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and
the affection of her human family.
For the first time ever, Lady & The Tramp is being released on Blu-ray with an array of bonus materials. After we watched the movie together, the kids and I flipped through the never-before-seen deleted scenes and checked out the never recorded song “I’m Free as the Breeze” along with “the Siamese Cat Song”. The kids also thought it was pretty cool to see the original 1943 storyboard version of the film. That is just a small sampling of the packed bonus features!!

As you have all heard before, Tatertot is a huge fan of all of the Air Bud / Buddies movies. Every time he sees a commercial for a new one all we hear about is how he wants it soooooo bad!

We sat down and watched this movie as a family earlier tonight and once again, Disney did not disappoint with the Buddies. Treasure Buddies is another adorable movie that sucks the little ones in with the dogs who ooze cuteness!
After the movie, we checked out the awesome bonus features, the little dude’s favorite was the “Roam” music video which made him dance and shake his little tush.
