Now I will be the first to admit that I am not the best crafter. I prefer crafts that are easy, don’t require multiple trips to the store, and that are relaxing.
I was recently introduced to Biri Biri Kits and the art of collage creating.
Crafting with Biri Biri kits allows you to create beautiful works of art using different washi papers with an end result that looks like a real painting.
Each kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions.
Getting started it easy! Simply use the supplies in the kit to trace your pattern onto your picture stock (in this case I did mine on a card).
Tracing the design was easy and I was able to place it exactly how I wanted it to look on the card.
Once I was done tracing the design to my cardstock, I began tracing the designs on to the different washi papers so I could do all of my tearing and gluing at once.
I wasn’t pleased with the look I achieved by cutting and tearing the design so I opted to use the wet brush so I could achieve the wispy edge look.
Once I had the design all traced and ripped out, I began gluing and assembling my ‘painting’ by diluting some glue with water in the provided dish and applying with a paint brush.
Once I got started on gluing the washi paper in to place, the picture really started to come together. Overall, for my first project using the Biri Biri kit I am happy with the finished result.
I am glad that the Biri Biri kit came with clear instructions on how to complete this project because I would have screwed it up multiple times without them.
Now that I have completed my first kit, I am confident that I will improve with each one. The entire project was fun to do and I found it to be very relaxing.
