Since I first registered with Facebook back in 2006, I have slowly learned my way around social media and the different sites that are out there. When I began blogging in 2009, I had just discovered Twitter and all of its awesomeness and way figuring out Tweetdeck and Tweetgrid right along with Twitter Parties. In the beginning I spent so much time on the internet researching how to do things, teaching myself how to code, and then I turned to books. No joke….I bought 5 different Dummies books to teach myself more.
Since then, I have relied heavily on different Dummies books in order to learn more and in addition to my personal sites, I also run a business/customer service site for my dad’s business. The Social Media Commerce for Dummies book by Marsha Collier has been a great help over the past week. I have learned how to get my dad’s company out there more, how to further utilize and grow our eBay business and really how to promote the brand along with the products and services my dad offers.
Not only has this book helped me with my dad’s business but I have started to pull bits and pieces of it into my own business as well and I look forward to watching both of our businesses continue to thrive.
