I have always been a fan of The Great Mouse Detective as it was first released in 1986 and I saw it in the theater. I love that my children are now able to enjoy a film that I had the pleasure of enjoying as a child.
Since we have had some icky weather lately, the kids had the chance to snuggle up and watch The Great Mouse Detective one afternoon and all of them (ranging from 10 months to 13 years) were engrossed in the movie and didn’t make a peep until it was over.
Here is one of my favorite scenes from the film.
