Last week, I reached out and asked for advice on sleep training our little Bean. On Friday, Bean went in for her 9 month check up (more on that in a bit), and we discussed her sleep issues with the fabulous Dr. J. I explained Bean’s constant need to wake up through the night and that she would only sleep if it was next to me. His advice.. .nurse her before bedtime, put her in her crib and let her cry it out.
So, last night we started and after about 20 minutes she gave up and went to sleep. She woke up twice during the night, Hardworking Hubby went in to let her know we were still here, said goodnight and laid her back down and covered her up each time. She slept until shortly after 6am, when I finally let her come snuggle with us and nurse.
Tonight, she ate dinner nursed, and then we all said goodnight and laid her down in her crib. Again, she cried but this time it was for about 10 minutes. Once she was quiet, we went to check on her and this is how we found her sleeping.

Yes, she is sleeping sitting up and scrunched over her blanket.
Here is a view from above.

So stinking cute!
Here it is almost 2a.m., she woke up once and was back to sleep in about 5 minutes.Fingers crossed things continue to go well and she is sleeping through the night soon!
