Dear Man Who Let Me Get Away Years Ago (Part Deux),
Two weeks and two days ago, A while back, I wrote you a letter wherein I simply explained where I stood as far as my feelings for you and that I wished you nothing but the best and hope you can find happiness like I have found mine.
Apparently when I said these things, I left out a few things in regard to what happiness is. Since I managed to leave that information out, I thought I would be a good friend and tell you what happiness ISN’T.
Happiness isn’t avoiding your ‘best friend’ like the muthafuckin’ black plague after you decide to open up and share your feelings four and a half years too late.
Happiness isn’t jumping into bed with the next girl you meet.
Happiness isn’t having aforementioned girl practically living with you after only ‘dating’ for a mere two weeks or less.
Happiness isn’t forcing yourself not to pickup the phone to call or text me as we used to do all the time.
Happiness is not being an asshole to me after I send you a text on your birthday wishing you a Happy Birthday! and you reply with something along the lines of, Yeah, happy fuckin bday. We’ll talk much later so don’t text or call for a while please. Which in turns cause me to reply with a quick Fuck You if that’s how you’re going to talk to me type of text and you then follow it up with a late night phone call after your drunk ‘girlfriend’ passes out ( and only after she passes out) to apologize and tell me the reason for your rudeness is because she will most likely check your text messages the next morning and will begin to question your relationship with me.
These ARE NOT tools to achieve happiness.
Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance in helping you find happiness.
Love,
Annie
