Last year when tickets for BlogHer10 in NYC went on sale, I was quick to snatch one up as I feared they would sell out quickly. Now that 2010 has arrived and BlogHer is a little over 5 months away, the Hardworking Hubby and I have presented ourselves with the question…..To BlogHer or Not to BlogHer.
You see, this trip, is our honeymoon.
A honeymoon that is 2 years overdue.
A trip that we desperately need to take without kids.
But NYC?
NYC is freakin’ expensive!!!
So, we sat here yesterday debating what to do.
And then we decided.
The answer is…..
Not to BlogHer.
We are instead saving ourselves some cash and heading to Las Vegas instead.
Hotel and airfare is A LOT cheaper!!!
For what we are paying for our hotel and airfare for the 2 of us is less then what it would have cost us at the hotel in NYC.
Less then $800 for us to fly and sleep.
Plus, we’re all about eating yummy cheap hot dogs and buffet food!
So yes, I am sacrificing my trip to BlogHer to hit up Sin City with my hubby.
I think it will be MORE than worth it!
Watch out Vegas!!!

After the week we’ve had around here I am now experiencing the BEST part of the week!
No, it has nothing to do with the fact that I dropped my car off to get fixed today.
The best part of my week, is hearing that the AMAZING Anissa Mayhew is returning to her family and heading home today!
Talk about some total awesomeness!
But of course, with the awesome comes the not so awesome.
Anissa will still need to go to an outpatient facility for therapy.
Even with the insurance, the family still has a $100 per day co-pay for her therapy.
So now, now is the time to give like you have never given before.
Even if it is only $1.00, it will help.
I cut out a few things I had budgeted this week that we really didn’t need so that our family could contribute.
Anissa is an unbelievably amazing and talented woman who deserves to receive all the help she can get.
She is an amazing mother of 3 and wife to Peter.
There family has been through a lot of tough times and after being apart for the last 92 days, they will finally be a family again….under one roof.
